 How do you usually learn songs? How do you usually learn songs? Tabs, standard notation sheet music, by ear, by video, chord diagrams, Guitar Pro, or Powertab?  |

| Re: How do you usually learn songs? Tabs and by ear. Mostly I look at a tab, and listen to hear if it sounds right. Other times I stumble upon the correct way to play a song by messing around. |

| Re: How do you usually learn songs? for drums i mostly learn it by ear. for complex parts i'l use guitar pro. for guitar, il use guitar pro.

| Re: How do you usually learn songs? I'm always playing it in Guitar Pro, but when I do that it's harder for me to memorize the song. I'm trying to stay away from GP and using regular tabs so I can memorize them. Site reading it is easier than memorizing, but I need to memorize them |

| Re: How do you usually learn songs? I usually just get a chord chart for the song and then do it by ear from there. Just looking at tabs gives me a head ache, and I never got around to learning the clef for my main instrument (bass) so its usually chord charts for me. If I can't find the charts, Ill usually do it by ear. |

| Re: How do you usually learn songs? Well I always write down tabs after looking at it on a site and checking it. I might add or subtact stuff, and make it easier for me to understand and memorize. |
