Alright this is for songs that aren't necessarily difficult or easy, but are fun to play, personally i think ska punk is wicked fun to play, superman by goldfinger is tough but fun and santeria and caress me down by sublime are very fun and pretty easy. Also lots of Tool songs are fun, they are pretty easy to mess around with and improvise because they are never really played the same way twice live and include a lot of interesting techniques that you may not know about as a beginner (volumes swells, ebow usage, etc.)
